Spiritual Advice in the manner of
Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Eat, Pray, Love”
“In ancient Greece, people did not believe that
creativity came from the human spirit, OK? People believed that creativity was
this divine wind that came into human beings from some distant & unknowable
source, for distant & unknowable reasons. The Greek philosopher Pythagorus
believed that beans were divine, because they caused this wind. Pythagoras later risked death rather than run through a bean field, fearing that he might injure the sacred beans. (He died when his enemies caught up with him)
“Yep, that’s the Greeks for you. Always an answer
for everything. Not always a good answer, but an answer. “
