“Responsibility -- that word worked on me and worked
on me until I finally worked on it. And I used a lead pipe. Until I looked at
it carefully -- then I bit it and chewed on it and masticated (which is not as
dirty as it sounds) and I soon broke it down into the two smaller words that
make its definition: ability and respond.
“And what I had to respond to was the ability that I
had -- in every speck of my being – to escape responsibility, to run like hell
from both response and ability.
"I was telling Me to get away from my RESPONSIBILITY to
respond. ASAP!”
