On
Motherhood:
“They cut out the proudest and finest parts of
themselves and they gave it all away. They reshaped what was theirs and molded
it for others. They often went without. They were the last ones to eat supper
and they were the first ones to get up every morning, starting the fires,
warming the cold kitchens for another day spent caring for everyone else.
"This
was the only thing they could do, the only thing knew how to do. This was their
guiding defining principle in life. And then Mother finally got up out of bed. Yep,
in the old days slavery sure got shit done!”
Happy MLK Day!!!!!
