“Like many people I was terribly, terribly worried about the end of the Mayan Calendar and the possible collapse of Civilization, the Earth, or even the Universe! Not to mention the collapse of my 401K and the fact that it would be next to impossible to find Twinkies and Ho Hos (well, maybe not the Ho Hos).

“But, looking back to 2000 and all the horrible Y2K predictions, it gives me hope. After all, if a brilliant economist like Gary North could get it wrong, maybe the Mayans were wrong too. After all, they were only human … except for the alien crossbreeds, of course.”
